Google’s Pixels have received a new update, version rolling out , which will be the final one before Android 13 is released. Of course, we’re referring to the stable build. In any event, Google Pixel phones are currently receiving the July 2022 security update.

A NEW UPDATE IS NOW BEING APPLIED TO PIXELS, JUST PRIOR TO THE ARRIVAL OF ANDROID 13S. Considering that it just includes security updates, this update appears to be relatively minor in scope. That is to be expected as this is not an upgrade like the Pixel Feature Drop. Simply your standard security update, nothing more.

The most significant change is the implementation of extra VoLTE functions for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro in some areas. We’re looking at security updates other from that.

A SMALL NUMBER OF PIXELS ARE BEING UPDATE A large number of devices are receiving this update, as was already mentioned. This update will be made available to the following Pixel phones that have Android 12 installed: Pixel models 5, 5,a, 6, and 6 Pro are available. The same is true of global models.

Additionally, the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro on Verizon as well as those in the EMEA and APAC areas are currently receiving it.

Having said that, Android 13 is quickly approaching. Within the next few weeks, Google is anticipated to begin releasing a stable version of Android 13 for its smartphones. So, before Android 13 is released, this is the final update that Google’s Pixel phones will receive.
