Over the past few months, Samsung has updated dozens of Galaxy tablets and smartphones with Android 12. However, the company’s Android portfolio is so extensive that some are still waiting for the major Android update. Now that Android 13 is getting close to its stable release, some of those devices have begun installing Android 12. The most recent winners are the Galaxy M12 and Galaxy A22 5G.
The Galaxy M12, which debuted in April of last year with Android 11, is the first device in Vietnam to receive the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update. The June 2022 Android security patch is included.
In Malaysia and Thailand, the Galaxy A22 5G, which made its debut a few months after the Galaxy M12 with Android 11 inside, is initially gaining access to Android 12. The upgrade includes One UI Core 4.1 and the June security patch, and it has firmware version A226BXXU4BVF7. The latest Android version should shortly be sent out globally. The Galaxy A22’s 4G version has already received a lot of Android 12 updates.

Do not worry if you are still running Android 11 on one of these affordable Samsung smartphones. Android 12 has already arrived. As soon as the OTA (over the air) update is applied to your phone, you should receive a message. From the Settings app’s Software update option, you can also manually check for updates.
